Hotel del Luna Filming Location: Mokpo

-Mokpo Modern History Museum is full of rich history, both from the last century and from its setting in the Kdrama Hotel del Luna.

The architecture of the building is quite distinguished, being built during the Japanese Occupation in the early 20th century, and is now a museum full of Mokpo’s history detailing the change the port city has experienced over years.
The oldest building in Mokpo, it has been used for a variety of duties such as a consulate, library, city hall, and now a museum. The museum contains many displays in both Korean and English explaining the building’s past as well as the political and social structures during the occupation, and the uprisings that took place as well.

For a history and drama lover like myself, I loved the fact that the museum had so much to offer as well as had a section for the drama for people who have watched the show (though it was small). It was interesting to see how they included both parts in the building, and in the two-story building, there was plenty to look through.
