Hobbit Village Cafe

The Shire is also in Korea….

Tucked away at the edge of a Korean city is a little gem for lovers of the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings, and that is: The Shire. Yes, Korea has recreated the scene from Tolkien’s beloved books and created not only one, but multiple hobbit holes full of bread delicacies tucked between cafes. A food lover hobbit’s heaven where the food never ends.

It isn’t particularly large, but I was surprised at how spread out the bakery was. Toujours is usually only a cafe with limited seating area, but they had multiple buildings showing the history of their baking, different cafes, and areas for classes and demonstrations. The hobbit homes were dedicated to baking bread, where every hour starting at noon they offer free samples straight out of the oven.

While it might not be worth making a whole journey to the city since it isn’t super large, it certainly is a fun place to stop by or add on the way when you are driving through.
