Living With Anxiety: constant insecurity
Trying to live with anxiety is like playing a game. You can plan and strategize as much as you like, but often you can never know exactly what will happen. You can think of every situation and outcome, ones you’ve experienced or know of, yet you may unexpectedly be unable to predict your own involvement. I say this because the weekend I began writing this post I was fine. I made plans in a group setting, but as soon as I arrived I quickly closed off and became an observer. Actually, when my friend and I visited, we drove to the Washington Arboretum first, and it was unexpectedly beautiful. I had no idea how large it was, and there were so many blooming trees, both cherry and non. We spent…

don’t let fear control you
When did you first become afraid? Fear is something that controls us in life as we get older. A child doesn’t understand the concept of fear right away. It is something that comes with experience because we don’t want to face negative consequences. Children have no fear of falling until they learn to walk. They have no fear of roads until they realize the danger. They have no fear to question things until they are shamed for being curious. Fear is something we instill in others by how we act. Sometimes it comes from a desire to protect, and sometimes the desire to harm. It can be positive. We learn…
